Who I Am
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor, North Wales. I have a specialist interest in hip and knee replacement surgery.
I am a fellowship trained surgeon and gained my fellowships from reputed University College London Hospital, Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Bristol and Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham. I specialise in hip and knee surgery and have extensive experience in performing total hip and total knee replacements.
I have been a consultant since 2018 and have successfully established my practice as a primary and revision total hip and knee replacement surgeon. I have special interest in managing complex cases and I am The Lead Clinician for the Revision Hip and Knee Replacement Service at my base hospital. Revision surgery is the re-do surgery, which is normally done for the failed joint replacements. I am also The Revision Arthroplasty Lead for the whole Health Board in North Wales.
I regularly perform Total Knee and Hip replacements including Robotic Knee Replacements, Revision Hip and Knee Replacements, knee Arthroscopy(key hole surgery), Joint Injections for painful joints and various fractures fixations including complex lower limb fractures.
I firmly believe in patient centred care and meticulous attention to detail. I always strive to fully involve my patients at every step of their care by carefully listening to their problem and giving them the information, they need to help them to choose the best possible, evidence based treatment option for their problem.
